Designed by Marian Grabinski, the “MTP” bookcase is made of oak and combines a large open section, divided into two compartments with adjustable shelves, with a deeper lower section housing two drawers with integrated pulls. The “MTP” originated in the early 1960s as a wedding gift for Ingvar Kamprad, founder of IKEA, and was subsequently developed by Grabinski into a broader family of coordinated furniture pieces, sharing the same rational conception and the possibility of arranging the storage space to suit different needs. The open base with squared legs lightens the proportions of the piece and completes an essential design, representative of the Polish designer’s functional approach. Good condition.
