Antique Thonet armchair, seat and backrest in pressed wood Art Nouveau.

Authentic Thonet office/living room chair, bent wood (beech), characteristic curved armrests and legs. Seat and backrest made of pressed wood imitating leather grain (typical Thonet embossing technique from the early 20th century), adorned with a floral/rococo pattern in light relief on a dark brown background — identical decoration on seat/backrest. Original label “THONET WIEN” visible under the seat, as well as a stamp “Waterproof — Made in Austria”, confirming authenticity and dating before 1930 (Austrian production). Dimensions: • Total height: 91 cm. • Width (armrest to armrest): 56 cm. • Seat depth: 56 cm. Condition: Marked patina of use: worn/chipped finish on the armrests and around the seat (light wood visible in places), a visible gap at the seat-ring junction needs to be re-glued (see detail photo), general signs of wear consistent with age.
