Thonet armchair no. 56

Very nice and genuine Thonet armchair no. 56 in bent wood with a cane seat, circa 1900. Please note numerous signs of age and use consistent with its period, particularly on the wooden structure (see photos). Stamped Thonet Austria under the seat (wood engraving and paper label). Nice patina and original seat. There is a missing cord around the seat edge, it is firm and not stretched, with no tears. The wooden structure has numerous holes, but the chair has been treated against wood-boring insects. Total height 92 cm. Seat: h47 cm, w44 cm, d47 cm. Backrest: h45.5 cm. W44 cm. Width between armrests 60 cm.
