Gerbino vase, in mosaic clay

Gerbino vase in mosaic of colored earths. Jean gerbino was born in sicily in 1876 into a family of potters. He moved to vallauris at the beginning of the twentieth century, in the 20s, he developed his technique of mosaic of colored earths (neriage in japanese). The secret of his technique has been passed down from generation to generation. His great-granddaughter perpetuates his know-how in his workshop in vallauris. The vase has a small defect on the top of the neck. See last photo.
