Artisanal wooden console, late 19th century.

Console whose origin is very likely Indian (Rajasthan or Gujarat). Its dating is estimated to be from the late 19th century to the early 20th century for the basic elements, followed by a traditional artisanal transformation in the 1960s - 70s. The decoration features repetitive floral friezes, cut-outs, in a style that is both geometric and organic. The legs, also crafted, are massive. The wood is most likely old teak or local hardwood (sheesham). The console must be collected on site, no shipping.
