Pair of vintage Satsuma vases

Pair of small, hand-painted Satsuma porcelain vases from Japan, baluster-shaped with canted sides. Traditional polychrome decoration of a geisha on a midnight blue background, with gilt rims. Stamped under the base. In good mid-20th-century condition, no cracks or chips, some minor glaze losses (see photo). Height 9 cm, diameter 6 cm - total weight 140 g.
