Pair of very beautiful covered vases, hexagonal in shape, in delft earthenware, probably mid-20th century. Beautiful size: height 31 cm and base 10.5 cm, these are beautiful decorative objects, chic and timeless. This pair of delft vases is a true work of art that combines the elegance of classic design with the beauty of delft ceramics, famous for its exquisite designs. Each of these vases is meticulously handcrafted by talented artisans, making them unique and exceptional pieces. The decor, obviously blue, represents 2 characters, a typically dutch man and woman, surrounded by floral and plant motifs. The top of each lid is decorated with a fretel (grabbing button) here representing a bird pecking at a fruit. This vase probably comes from the 3 bells factory as the signature under the vases seems to indicate but we remain cautious because many copies have been made but this does not detract from the quality of the earthenware. The two vases are in excellent condition, they will need to be maintained with care, we recommend cleaning them with a slightly damp cloth.
