Cache-pot porcelain from Paris, rose decoration on a golden background, Empire style.

Superb porcelain cache-pot from Paris, dated to the Empire or Restoration period (1810-1840). Cylindrical in shape with a slight flare, it rests on a moulded base adorned with arcatures and palmettes in white enhanced with gold. Its exterior body, entirely covered in fine gold leaf on an amber background, is illuminated by a garland of fully bloomed roses painted with remarkable realism — shades of pink and coral on green foliage. Two golden ring handles, in a neoclassical style, elegantly frame the piece. The interior is made of white glazed porcelain. There are some slight wear marks on the gilding and discreet signs of age, authentic witnesses to a long and well-lived life. Slight restoration is visible.
