Vintage soliflore vase in the shape of a ewer, made of silver-plated metal. Low droplet-shaped body, elongated neck that flares out to a spout opening. Flat, fine, and taut handle, attached to the spout and the base of the neck. Smooth surface without decoration, covered in a dark oxidation patina with bluish and brown iridescent reflections, lighter in places on the body. Heavy base, closed with a protective felt. Likely made in the 1960s or 1970s. The stripped-down line and the handle reduced to a simple line reflect the modernist vocabulary of the post-war period, common in small silver-plated table objects from this time. This vase can find its place on a bedside table, a desk, a shelf, or a dining table, for a fresh stem or a dry branch. Its dark hue can suit a wabi-sabi or brutalist decor as well as a more minimalist interior. Height: 18 cm, base diameter: 6 cm. Weight: 300 g. Used condition, with marked oxidation across the entire surface, and micro-scratches. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
