Vintage hexagonal cabochon pendant light – 70s

1970s pendant light made of molded translucent plastic. Hexagonal in shape, each side is adorned with faceted octagonal cabochons imitating crystal. The decoration is in slight relief, with the interstices presenting a fine grid pattern typical of 1970s production. Structure: Cylindrical 6-sided body made of translucent molded plastic. Faceted cabochon decoration in relief on the outside, hollow on the inside to play with the light. Rimless top with three metal claws holding the socket. Brass B22 bayonet socket, original attachment. Open base for direct downward diffusion. Dimensions: H 22 cm – Ø approx. 16 cm. Space Age / Op Art / Pop style typical of the late 1960s-early 1970s. Dual lighting effect: diffused halo through the walls + brilliant bursts from the facets.
