Old Earthenware Rooster Plate - St Amand Nord Hamage

Pretty vintage white ceramic plate, decorated with a beautiful rooster in the center and red feathers around the edge. Signed on the reverse: st amand nord hamage founded in 1705, saint-amand-les-eaux earthenware is a ceramic and porcelain production coming from saint-amand, a small town in the nord-pas-de-calais region, which is a pioneer in the history of tableware manufacturing and in the history of tableware. Its multiple factories were born in the 17th century: the moulin des loups earthenware factory; the earthenware of saint-amand-les-eaux, the earthenware and porcelain of saint-amand-orchies-hamage, the grands établissements céramiques saint-amand and hamage nord and ceranord which closed the ball in 1962 with the closure of the earthenware manufacture and porcelain.
