Chinese lacquered wedding cabinet painted circa 1920

We are pleased to offer for sale this superb painted and lacquered wedding cabinet from Chinese export dating back to around 1920. This elegant piece of furniture, highly sought after as decorative art, features a beautifully patinated lacquered frame and hand-painted details. Originally designed for folded linens, it can also be used as a traditional wardrobe for hanging clothes. The cabinet has been carefully cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished. There are normal signs of patina due to age and use, as well as some losses on the soapstone. The dimensions are measured at the widest point: height 181 cm, width 96 cm, depth 54.5 cm.
