HB Quimper Celtic Bowl by René Quillivic

The Celtic bowl is a characteristic example of quillivic work of the 1920s, with elaborate surfaces in relatively high relief and sumptuous use of colored glazes. The design incorporates medallions, the heads of a man and a woman (possibly Saint Corentin and a holy woman), a running dog, and two birds eating berries. Patina: Exterior glazes: sienna, gold leaf, medium beige, dark green, brown. Interior glazes: pale blue, sienna, and medium brown. Signed in black handwritten letters in the underglaze: hb quimper quillivic 753 pp The ceramic is in perfect condition. No cracks or chips.
