Carpet tebriz, iran middle xxth. Velvet in silky lamb wool, flowers surrounded by silk on cotton foundations. Density: approximately 850, 000 knots per m2. Sun. 3.06 X 2.05 m. Good condition. Midnight blue background with so-called "heraty" motifs, seedlings of stylized exploded diamonds framing a large central floral medallion salmon and ivory. Four orange brick spandrels. Eight borders of which the main midnight blue has seedlings of multicolored flower buds surrounded by geometrically stylized turtle shells.
