Bow Wood Steiner armchair red slats

Hugues steiner launched his bow wood line at the end of the 1940s, an innovative technique at the time also used by thonet, baumann and others. The signature of this line is the assembly by a square plastic ring of the base of the backrest with that of the seat. This ingenious system grants flexibility to the file. This model of 60s armchair with modern red plastic slats was intended for outdoor use and it is rare to find one in good condition today. Its ash structure is weathered by time but healthy and without major defects. The red plastic is in excellent condition, without fragility or wear, only a few small black shadows are present but they can only be seen up close.
