Large Empire period fireplace mirror - Restoration, circa 1820-1840. Important rectangular mirror in its moulded wooden frame, richly adorned with stamped and gilded decorations. The outer frieze features confronting griffins, palmettes, and plant motifs, while the inner frame displays a succession of finely chiselled rosettes and scrolls. The antique glass shows slight alterations characteristic of 19th-century mirrors, attesting to its authenticity.
