Pair of leather armchairs James Bond by Robin Day Prototype audio system, 1960

A unique pair of original black leather armchairs, equipped with a functional audio system and its own amplifier! Designed for cinema by Robin Day for Hille, this is the "Leo" chair. A large prototype with an original chrome metal reinforcement supporting the entire structure! German craftsmanship of very high quality… A ONE-OF-A-KIND piece from the late 1960s. The chrome base is in superb condition and the seat is entirely original, with slight signs of wear on one of the parts. Its overall condition is exceptional for a 60-year-old item. Extremely comfortable and elegant. Several models of armchairs appear in the 1967 James Bond film! This one, the rarest, is mounted on a swivel base. It can be seen behind the desk in several shots of the film! Sean Connery is seated in one of them in "You Only Live Twice."
