Spectacular centrepiece in handmade French ceramic signed Ceramidi, a Marseille workshop active in the 1950s–1960s. This large sculptural bowl adopts a free form reminiscent of a leaf with a magnificent work of undulating volumes. The glossy glaze blends deep brown-black tones, almost volcanic, with a sunny yellow border, typical of the Mediterranean chromatic explorations of the time. The speckled nuances and very vibrant reflections enhance its organic and decorative character. With its generous dimensions and spectacular silhouette, this piece can be used as: • a centrepiece, • a fruit bowl, • a monumental catch-all, • or simply as a decorative object. A very expressive ceramic, in the spirit of Vallauris productions and organic design from the 50s/70s. Signature on the reverse: “Ceramidi – Céramique d’Art – Handmade – Marseille”. Condition: Overall beautiful vintage condition with a lovely shine to the glaze. There is a restoration following a small accident / discreet crack on one end (visible in the photo), with no impact on stability or decorative use. Dimensions: Length: 57 cm. Depth: 26 cm. Height: 8.5 cm. Origin: France, Marseille, 1950–1960.
