Rare 1st edition Panton chair by Verner Panton for Herman Miller 1968. The design concept for a stackable chair in one molded piece started in the 50’s. With the help of Willi Fehlbaum the first Panton production chairs came on the market in 1968. The material used was Baydur, a high-resilience polyurethane foam produced by Bayer in Leverkusen, Germany. Labeled with “Herman Miller Collection”. The chair is polished and clear coated professionally. In very good vintage condition.
