Bistro table by Baumann, circa 1950

Bistro table made by the French manufacturer Baumann in the 1950s. It features a rectangular red Formica top resting on two cylindrical wooden columns. The metal base consists of two arched and ribbed pads connected by a central crossbar. Founded in the Jura, the Baumann factory is particularly known for its production of bent wood furniture intended for cafes, restaurants, and communities. This table reflects its research on functional and robust furniture from the post-war period. Edition: Baumann, France, circa 1950.
