An original lamp, but ingenious and elegant at the same time. There's a reason why he was part of The New Domestic Landscape, a famous Italian exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It is a drawing by Danilo and Corrado Aroldi, two brothers. They designed this lamp in a number of different models and colors. This particular model is the table lamp. But the black metal base can be removed to reveal a clamping mechanism, so you can fix it on the side of a table or on any other surface. This version is even rarer than the classic clip-on model. Testimony to the ingenuity of the design, this lamp has been put back into production in recent years. It is however a vintage model from the 60s. It is in good vintage condition, fully functional and all parts are very sturdy. The rubber coat that allows the lampshade to move is in good condition, no wear or tear on this part. The lamp shows a little wear on the paint, clear to see in the photos. The bulb used is a bayonet bulb type B22, see last photo. These are widely available even in LED versions. The Periscopio is suitable for both 110V and 220V, it has a socket that complies with EU specifications. Excellent design of the middle of the century of Italy.
