Gae AULENTI (1927-2012) "Tavolo con ruote" coffee table for Fontana Arte with a square translucent glass top on four industrial metal and black rubber wheels. There is a dent on one corner (which can easily be concealed with a cover or corner protectors) and small chips on one side. Dimensions: H 25 cm and 120x120 cm. The Tavolo con Ruote table, designed by Gae Aulenti for FontanaArte in 1980, is a coffee table that plays with industrial aesthetics and modern minimalism. For this table, Aulenti was inspired by the industrial trolleys used in the FontanaArte factory to transport glass. She replaced the wooden shelf of the trolley with a thick sheet of glass and paired it with large free industrial wheels.
