ersian Yezd carpet, 122 x 192 cm

Persian yezd or yazd carpet native to iran and toing 122 cm wide by 192 cm long wool. Yezd lies between kirman and isfahan halfway and was known and famous formerly for its gold thread fabrics. Yezd carpets are quite rare on the european market because the knotting of carpets of small and large sizes in this city started late and out of necessity. Yezd was a city of reputable fabric manufacturers, with the textile market at its lowest, and the locals organized themselves to take up the tradition of knotting, taking up the spirit of kirman rugs and appealing to the knotmen and designers (the "ostads") of cardboard in the kirman region. The decorations, like kirman's carpets, feature floral motifs in shades that are always very bright. The wool used and the high-quality knot also evokes this city. Our curry-yellow style is covered with flowers, combining green, straw yellow, red and black. It's in very good condition.
