Miss Dior Baccarat bottle 1947. Iconic and rare crystal bottle. Engraved Baccarat logo. Numbered 7 bottle and stopper. A micro chip on one edge see photos. Height 18 cm. Miss Dior made her entrance into the world, dressed in Baccarat crystal in a "very couture" bottle, designed by Fernand Guéry-Colas. This amphora bottle available in three colors (blue, white, red) symbolized the harmonious curves of the "corolles" line of the New-Look: delicate cabochon placed on a fine neckline, graceful curve of the body descending to its light foot. This perfume captured the spirit of modern young girls, fresh and fiery. Miss Dior was one of them, perhaps even their muse. During the first year of production, Parfums Christian Dior produced only two hundred and eighty-three bottles of this new perfume. A luxury, therefore, very confidential for the time, even if the size of the companies was infinitely smaller than today. But demand was pouring in, and the small factory near Paris was struggling to meet demand, especially since the Baccarat bottle could not be produced in large quantities. Christian Dior had to change the presentation of his perfume.
