Splendid game table with a central pedestal, made in the style of the famous handcrafted productions from Sorrento (Italy). This elegant and clever piece of furniture stands out for its refined marquetry work featuring complex floral and geometric patterns, using different types of precious woods to create stunning contrasts. Dimensions of the open top: Width 87 cm|Depth 37 cm. The piece is in a beautiful overall state of preservation and has a superb, shiny patina. The hinge mechanism and drawer work perfectly. As it is an antique piece, it shows discreet signs of age that add to its charm. Notably, there are a few slight missing pieces of marquetry located on the pedestal. These small veneer losses are very discreet, blend naturally into the wood patterns, and do not detract from the overall appearance.
