Pair of antique plates in popular earthenware with a floral basket decoration on the edge.

Charming pair of table plates (dessert/entrée size) in traditional earthenware. Central naive and colourful hand-painted decoration representing a vase/basket of flowers, typical of French regional productions from the 19th or early 20th century (in the style of Nevers or Malicorne). Fluted edge, no signature, no mark on the back but presence of firing pins. Diameter of 19.7 cm. In good condition with some small chips in the glaze and micro-cracks from use on the fluted edges (see photos).
