Thonet round table N°14 called "Mikado" - 1890 -

Thonet table whose construction principle has been established since 1886, we find it in its final version No. 14 in the 1890 catalogue. (see attachment) Sometimes referred to as the "Mikado table". The positioning of the triangular legs serves as the basis for a three double-legged guéridon version, and dining versions for up to 12 places from 1895. (see attachment) The table model proposed here, defined in the Italian catalogue as "game table", can be a "guéridon", or more rationally a "small dining table". Dimensions: diameter: 79 cm, height: 75 cm. Original piece, stamped. The top is originally veneered with walnut on the surface and oak on the reverse.
