Rare and charming fish service in Czechoslovakian earthenware from the vintage years 1950-1970. Comprising six small flat plates, dessert size, and their matching presentation dish, it adopts an elegant fish shape inspired by the popular productions of Digoin or Sarreguemines from the same era. Decorated with a pistol in delicate shades of blue on a cream white background, and very pretty shiny eyes. The plates measure 21.5cm in maximum length with the tail, 22cm in maximum width at the fins, with a useful diameter of 18.9cm and a height of 2cm. The dish measures 37cm in total length with the tail, 24cm in maximum width at the fins, and 20cm in useful width. Very good overall condition, close to new despite its age, one plate has a discreet hairline on the upper fin. There is a slight natural crazing of the glaze on the dish and some plates, particularly on one of them, as well as very discreet wear of the varnish on some outer edges, possibly original. Very rare traces of cutlery. Approximately 200 to 250g per plate and 450g for the dish.
