Designed by Piero Lissoni for Kartell in 2003, the ‘Plastics Tech’ two-seater brings together modular ease with unmistakable boldness. Upholstered in a vivid orange synthetic leather, the sofa consists of two individual elements that can be arranged as a single unit or used separately, making it as flexible as it is visually appealing. The original upholstery remains intact, with some surface stain-like discolouration from accumulated dust and dirt, and a small tear on one of the armrests. The plastic feet and corner protectors double as subtle design accents, echoing Kartell’s signature approach to functional detailing.
