Marango Chest of Drawers by Alberto Smania for Studio Smania Interni 1968

Stunning and rare chest of drawers belonging to the prestigious “Marango” series designed by Alberto Smania for the renowned company Smania Studio Interni in the late 1960s. The chest of drawers fully embodies and represents the highest level of Italian craftsmanship of the period, featuring extraordinary details such as leather-woven corners, an entire dark walnut burl veneer finish, with brass profiles and Italian cane elements. A truly breathtaking piece, finished also on the back, which makes it suitable for placement even at the center of a room. It features 4 drawers and 2 large drawers with brass handles. The condition is excellent, with very minor signs of time as shown in the photographs, despite being almost 60 years old.
