Handmade table made from recycled materials, colourful, abstract.

The unique, eco-friendly and stylish GREEN 2 side table. A wonderful example of upcycling! Around 95 per cent of the table is made from materials that were destined for the rubbish tip. The base and legs, as well as the tabletop, are made from second-hand furniture boards, 18 and 19 mm thick, which are still in very good condition. The colourful, abstract cladding is made from pieces of plastic sourced from empty, used containers. The only non-recycled components are the small nails, screws and glue, as well as the edge banding on the tabletop. Naturally, the tabletop has been thoroughly cleaned, washed and disinfected. The GREEN2 table was handcrafted by us, based on our own original design, in our small home workshop, without the use of computer software or CNC machines. The table is a very well-thought-out, ergonomic and stable design with excellent proportions. What’s more, it is incredibly original and colourful. However, its greatest advantage is that it is made from recycled materials in around 95 per cent. Furthermore, its production did not require huge amounts of energy, as is the case, for example, when plastics are remelted, a process which also produces hazardous fumes. The materials used to make the table are available for free, but sourcing and preparing them properly requires a great deal of work, time and exceptional efficiency. As the materials are recycled, it goes without saying that they have some superficial imperfections and flaws, such as a chip in the white part of the tabletop (visible in the photo), or occasional, slight marks on some of the plastic components. However, this only serves to emphasise the unique character of this table.
