Postmodern side table by Umberto Asnago Giorgetti, Galaxy serie Italy 1980s

Giorgetti Galaxy Side Table by Umberto Asnago, Italy, 1980s (2 available) Side table from the Galaxy series, designed by Umberto Asnago for Giorgetti, Italy, 1980s. The top is an inset milk white glass panel with a beveled edge, set in a solid wood rim with a stepped profile. The cruciform pedestal has four fins with small square cut-outs, a nod to Viennese Secession design, and stands on a stepped square plinth base with small glides underneath. The wood is stained in a warm honey tone. The glass is clean and the table is stable. Condition is good vintage, with light signs of age: a few small marks and scuffs, mostly along the base edge and the rim. No structural issues. Measures 57 x 57 cm. The proportions suit use next to a sofa or lounge chair, or as a small bedside or occasional table. We have two of these in stock at the moment
