Pressed crystal ashtray from Sarnen

Spectacular vintage ashtray made of solid crystal from the Swiss manufacturer Sarnen (Schweizer Kristallglas Sarnen) from the 1970s-1980s. Square in shape, made from particularly thick crystal, its irregular reliefs evoke a sculpted block of ice, illuminated by its multiple reflections. Its sober and powerful design fits within the modernist and brutalist aesthetics of the 1970s. The quality of the crystal and its impressive weight give it a remarkable presence. Originally designed as an ashtray, it will also easily find its place as a catch-all, jewellery holder, or simple decorative object. Original label retained. Excellent condition.
