Restored Victorian Chesterfield captain's armchair

We are pleased to offer for sale this magnificent fully restored Victorian Chesterfield office chair with claw and ball feet, featuring a unique inscription inside the frame dating from 30th December 1940 during the air raids of the Second World War. The chair has been restored from a faux leather covering which has been replaced with genuine English cowhide, hand-dyed and patinated. Dimensions: height 81.5 cm, width 62 cm, depth 72.5 cm, seat height 48 cm. This chair is an important survivor of history and shows wear consistent with its age.
