Description
This color engraving is a faithful reproduction of the original work "armiger et ephebus turca", created by israel silvestre and françois chauveau in the 17th century, between 1662 and 1670. This piece is part of the series "courses de testes et of rings made by roy and by the princes of his court, in the year 1662". It was made in chalcography (engraving on a copper plate) and colored with gouache, presenting a beautiful relief and excellent conservation. Dry stamp “chalcographie musée du louvre” at the bottom of the printed area. Dimensions 36 cm X 56 cm margins included, printed on “lana” art paper.
