Vintage print from the 40s, In the time of Jacques Cartier (16th century), after Jack

Original print from 1944 "in the time of jacques cartier, 16th century" signed "jack" in the plate at the bottom right and colored by hand. Published by “barré et dayez” in paris, the colors which have lost none of their liveliness were applied by hand. Stored away from light. In very good condition with some minimal signs of wear and scattered traces of "freckles". Beautiful original colors. See detail photos. This print is part of a collection "in the time of..." featuring sailors at the time of great crossings and the discovery of distant and exotic lands. The print measures 37.5 cm by 55.5 cm.
