Vintage ceramic egg service by Jean Austruy

Rare set from the 1950s-60s consisting of 6 pieces in brutalist style, signed by the ceramist Jean Austruy, who worked in his workshop in Saint-Marcellin (Isère). Art ceramics with a raw, textured material and strong relief, particularly on the egg cups. In terms of appearance, the material really plays with colours, featuring interiors that lean towards pink, and a dish with shiny reflections in golden and sandy tones that capture the light well. Notably, there is a small asymmetrical decoration on the dish, finer on one side and larger on the other. The 6 pieces are in perfect condition, without any cracks or chips. Dish measuring 25 cm in diameter with its 5 egg cups (height: 8.5 cm, neck diameter: 5 cm, base diameter: 6 cm).
