1960's Mid Century Floor Lamp by Josef Hurka

This creamy yellow floor lamp was designed in the late 1960's by the iconic czech lightning designer josef hurka and was produced by napako in former czechoslovakia. Josef hurka is considered by many as the most talented and commercially most successful czech lighting designer of the second part of the 20th century. This lamp has a minimal form and is a subtle creamy yellow colour, with a second inner white lamp shade inside which gives off a lovely light. But it is the 'c’ shaped steel rod and organically shaped lampshade are the stand out feature of this piece. The on/off switch is placed on the top of lampshade and the height is adjustable to the maximum height of 1.80m. Despite being designed in 1960's, the lamp is still very contemporary. This piece is in good vintage condition. There are some small scratches on the lampshade and the base due to normal wear and tear gained over the years. All parts (including the switch, the bulb fitting, cord and the european plug) are original and fully functional.
