Photographic development table, used in early photo laboratories, at a time when images were still developed by hand, in darkness and chemistry. The surface is adjustable, detachable, designed to accommodate the precise movements of photographic printing. The components can be completely disassembled, revealing a functional, robust, almost architectural structure. Nothing is decorative: everything is useful. This type of table was used for: developing and drying prints, working under controlled light, handling sensitive plates or papers. Estimated dating is late 19th – early 20th century, a period when photography became a true profession and laboratory furniture was custom-made, often by local carpenters. Today, this table can find a new life as an inclined desk, drawing or architect's table, or as a central piece in a raw interior, workshop, or characterful home. A rare piece, full of meaning, that tells the story of the gesture, more than that of the object.
