Green onyx column lamp, Empire taste – Early twentieth century

Empire style lamp with a long cylindrical green onyx barrel with subtle burgundy veining. This body is encased in a collar depicting a garland of laurels. In the upper part a carved element forms the top of a column inspired by ancient greece. It is topped with a square onyx section element. The whole rests on a molded onyx base with groove around its perimeter.
