Large Spanish gilt brass & smoked mirror decorative wall mirror, 1980s

Impressive large Spanish decorative wall mirror, dating from circa the 1980s. The mirror features an elegant architectural silhouette with softly stepped and rounded upper corners. The substantial frame is richly decorated with gilt brass-toned metal detailing, alternating mirrored panels and beautifully aged smoked / antiqued mirror sections. Small ornamental floral and leaf motifs punctuate the frame, while rows of raised gilt detailing create additional depth and texture. The combination of clear mirrored sections, warm antiqued glass and gold-toned metal gives the piece a particularly luxurious appearance without being overly ornate. At 150 cm wide, this is an impressive statement mirror and would work beautifully above a large console, sideboard, fireplace or in an entrance hall. Its horizontal proportions also make it especially suitable for hospitality and interior-design projects. The subtle ageing and patina visible within the decorative mirrored sections adds character and is part of the authentic vintage appearance.
