Peanut bench IKEA vintage circa 1980

Rare vintage IKEA banquette from the 1980s, identifiable by its sculptural peanut-shaped silhouette, which is both asymmetrical, undulating, and particularly graphic. A piece full of personality, typical of the experimental Scandinavian design of this period. Its organic shape creates an astonishing balance between minimalism, functionality, and playfulness, with an aesthetic that also fits into contemporary interiors inspired by Japandi, wabi-sabi, or mid-century styles. The banquette stands out for its generously curved seat and slightly arched profile, giving it a very sculptural presence while remaining visually light. Its tubular metal legs, with geometric lines reminiscent of compass legs or Eiffel Tower-style legs, further accentuate its graphic character. A particularly interesting piece for design enthusiasts. The beautiful natural patina of the rattan has been carefully preserved to maintain its authenticity and character.
