Bronze subject with green patina made by pierre le faguays (1892-1962), on a veined black marble base. Representative artist of the art deco movement, pierre le faguays is a medal-winning sculptor, awarded at the salon of the society of french artists between 1922 and 1927. This bust of ludwig van beethoven is sculpted with force, infusing charisma and intensity into the work. The german musical genius, known for his creative energy, is depicted with his eyes closed, seeking inspiration. This proof of pierre le faguays is a tribute to this outstanding and unclassifiable composer who marked the history of music. Beautiful bluish green patina revealing bronze from here and there. A mini sparkle on a corner of the marble (see last photo). Period 1930.
