Magnificent authentic print 66 years old, not a simple reproduction: Sedum acre. • Edition: between 1956 and 1966. • Size: 20 X 26 cm. • Light cream-coloured cardboard, elegant and vintage. • Condition: very good, with a very subtle deliberate vintage effect during printing. This illustration adopts the naturalistic style of botanical plates from the 18th to early 19th centuries, characterised by a precise and isolated representation of the plant. The drawing, with great scientific rigour, is balanced by an elegant and decorative composition, highlighting leaves, flowers, and stems in their various states. It reproduces muted and nuanced colours, close to watercolour, with a concern for readability, also in herbalism. This plate, dating from the mid-20th century, served as a medicinal advertising medium with the advertisement on the back. The illustration features a succulent plant with branched stems bearing numerous small star-shaped yellow-orange flowers with five petals. The plant grows on a small earthen mound with its roots visible, showing its complete structure from the roots to the fully bloomed flowers and flower buds. • Find all our lithographs and prints in my shop. • Send me a message for any questions. • Fast delivery and careful packaging for a risk-free reception. • For bulk purchases, send me a message for a single shipping fee and to discuss a discount.
