Indian box decorated with flowers

Pretty little oval box with a hand-painted floral decoration, in red, blue, pink and a little yellow tones, all enhanced by golden lines. It seems that it is made of papier-mâché, painted and varnished, and that it is of indian origin, but without certainty. I remember seeing them in my youth but they are rarer today. They are charming and very decorative, and always different from each other, so they can be exhibited as a collection. It probably dates from the 60s or 70s. It is in good structural condition, solid, without cracks or great visible lack, but does not hide its age: small stains, cracks and small chips on the paint including a larger one on the inner edge of the receptacle, not visible so when the box is closed. It measures 8 cm in length, 6.8 cm in width, 4 cm in height and weighs about fifty grams.
