We are delighted to offer for sale this charming set of six original Dutch chairs dating from around 1860, featuring ladder backs and woven straw seats. A very aesthetic and well-designed set, the wood is solid oak, and the seats are made of original woven straw. These timeless pieces, simple and elegant, have been crafted for centuries and will continue to be. The set has been lightly cleaned, waxed, and polished; it shows normal patina due to honest use and age. Some straw seats have been reinforced with fine wooden strips around the edges, while others have not. Dimensions: Height: 83 cm, Width: 41 cm, Depth: 51 cm, seat height: 44 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: good, wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration.
