Louis XIII chest

Burgundian walnut chest from the 16th century" Beautiful haute-epoque chest in carved walnut. 2 doors on the front and top shelf on original forged hinges. It has a beautiful decoration on the front, a winged angel's head in the center of the frieze upper, surrounded by repeated motifs (windings and foliage). On either side are terms formed of atlanteans and falling fruits. The base at the front and on the sides is domed and gadrooned. on the sides (frieze), and sculpture of quills. Original wrought iron fittings for opening the top shelf as well as its locking mechanism and its key. The whole rests on its 4 small ball feet. a height adjustable shelf. All in excellent condition.
