Willy Guhl, first pair of Loop chairs for Eternit, Switzerland, 1954

Superb pair of vintage Loop chairs, designed by Willy Guhl in 1954 for Eternit Switzerland. A classic of modernist design, awarded the "Die Gute Form" prize in 1955. These iconic garden chairs are made from a single strip of cellulose-impregnated fibrecement. Weather-resistant and durable. In my opinion, they are still the most beautiful garden chairs that exist. The chairs are in very good original condition, with a lovely patina. No damage to the edges, which is very rare for these chairs.
