Painting on glass with relief effect Y.Ginther

Small round frame in gilded wood and painted multilayer glass, rare because of its particular technique: it is the first 3 layers of painted glass and the 4th layer on paper that give this relief effect. This frame comes from an art ceramic artist Y.Ginther who created mainly ceramics, in Madagascar where he expatriated in the years 1950 to 1960. It is difficult to find his few works of this style because he did little painting on layers of glass. Diameter: 11cms. Nb: this frame was bought in Antananarivo (madagascar) in 1958 during a trip.
