Vase or jug in ceramic by Hannie Mein mid-century

Vase or jug in workshop ceramic by Hannie Mein from the mid-20th century, made in the Netherlands. This unique piece features an interesting design with beautiful proportions and colours. The upper rim flares out significantly, with an additional detail of a darker base. The glazing is very interesting with changing colours and traces of drips. Signed "Hannie Mein" under the base. Johanna Greta (Hannie) Mein, having studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, became one of the most recognised Dutch potters of the mid-20th century, often creating animal figures or pieces with human influence. This jug or vase is in very good vintage condition with no defects.
